After founding a student branch

1. Let people know you’re here!

1a: Contact the Regional Student Representative (look up contacts on these pages), introduce yourself and the branch.
1b: Contact your Student Activities Chair, and introduce yourself and the branch. If you don’t know who is the person section responsible for SA in your section, contact your section chair - list can be found here.

2. Create an annual plan

2a: Brainstorm ideas with fellow students in your branch.

3. Request IEEE to help you out

3a: Create a functional e-mail alias for your branch
3b: Request promo materials for handing out to potential new members
3c: Study the membership development web page to get ideas on new projects

4. Find out what other branches have done or are doing!

Use this list of branches or search for IEEE student branches online - thousands of students have already brought to life many cool projects - find one that suits you and see how you will go about creating your own.
